Claude is developed by Anthropic and is suited to well-structured writing, precise wording and programming tasks. The Claude models are built for long inputs. On ChatX you choose between several Claude models: Claude Haiku 4.5 for everyday use runs without signing up; with a free account you also get Claude Sonnet 5, Claude Opus 5.5 and Claude Fable 5.1, Opus and Fable with thinking mode for deep analyses and long texts, and web search on the models that offer it. Everything runs through Anthropic's official API, with an English interface and billing per reply instead of a monthly subscription. You do not need an account with the provider.

What is Claude good for?

Is Claude available in English?
Yes. Claude understands and writes English and replies in the language you write in. The ChatX interface is in English as well.
Which Claude model fits which task?
For everyday use Claude Haiku 4.5 is enough, and it runs without signing up. For complex tasks and long analyses you choose Sonnet 5, Opus 5.5 or Fable 5.1 with a free account; Opus and Fable offer the thinking mode.
Do I need an Anthropic account?
No. On ChatX you use Claude without an account with the provider and start without signing up with a starting allowance. With a free ChatX account your chats are saved, and you get a daily allowance and access to the larger models.
Can Claude search the internet?
For the Claude models with web search (globe icon in the input field) you turn the search on in the chat and get current sources in the reply.
Can Claude create images?
No, Claude does not generate images itself, but it understands uploaded photos and screenshots when you are signed in with an account. You create images on ChatX with the AI image generator, also without signing up.
How long can documents be?
Document upload needs a free account. Without credit there is a character limit per message (currently 10,000 characters with an account), with credit or a subscription there is no plan limit; technically up to 200,000 characters per message with an attachment are possible. Large models cost more tokens per reply than Haiku.
Do I need to sign up?
No. You can start right away without an account. With a free account, your chats are saved and you get free tokens every day.
How are tokens calculated?
ChatX bills based on the actual usage reported by the provider for your request. Large models cost more tokens per reply than small ones. You can see the approximate value for each model.
What happens to my data?
Your chats are stored only for you and can be deleted at any time. Requests are sent to the respective model provider to be answered. Details can be found in the privacy policy.
Is ChatX an official offering from Anthropic?
No. ChatX is an independent service that provides access to the models from Anthropic and other providers through their official interfaces.
