Corrections with an error list instead of red squiggles

Some mistakes only show up in context: a wrong verb form after a subject, a missing comma or "its" instead of "it's". The AI reads the sentence as a whole and checks these spots too. As with any automatic check, it is worth looking over the result before you use it.

You get two things: the cleaned-up text, which you can use right away, and, if you want, a list of the corrections. The list shows you what was changed, and you decide for yourself which changes to keep. If you want to learn your typical mistakes, check with the list.

Typical occasions are a job application, a term paper before submission, an important email to a client or a website text that should go live without typos.

How it works

  1. 1

    Choose the output

Decide whether you want the corrected text with a list of corrections or just the clean text.

  2. 2

    Paste your text

Copy the text into the input field; the AI usually detects the language itself. If you want a particular variant, such as British or American spelling, just say so.

  3. 3

    Run the check

Start the check and get the corrected version.

  4. 4

    Use it or ask

Copy the result or ask in the chat why a passage was changed.

Good to know

  • It checks spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization and compound words; content and style are meant to stay as they are.
  • English in British and American spelling; German according to current spelling rules, on request in Swiss spelling without ß; plus French, Spanish, Italian and over 30 more languages.
  • Two outputs: corrected text with a list of corrections, or just the corrected text. The list is text to read through, not an editor with one-click undo.
  • Character limit per message: without credit currently 5,000 characters without sign-up and 10,000 characters with an account; with credit or a subscription no plan limit, technically up to 100,000 characters. Check very long texts in sections.
  • Cost: you are billed for the actual usage per reply, depending on text length and model; starter allowance available without sign-up.
  • Your text is sent to the selected AI model, stays in your history and is not published.
  • For rewording or a different tone there is the Paraphrase text tool; for translations, the AI translator.

Frequently asked questions

What gets checked?

Spelling, grammar, punctuation, typos, duplicated words, capitalization and compound words. The style is meant to stay the same; rewording is only done on request.

Does it find comma errors too?

Yes. The AI checks the whole sentence and not just individual words, so it usually spots missing and unnecessary commas, for example before subordinate clauses or in lists.

Which languages?

English in British and American spelling, German (including Swiss spelling with ss), French, Italian, Spanish and many more. The language is usually detected automatically; if you want a particular variant, just say so.

How long can the text be?

Without credit there is a character limit per message, currently 5,000 characters without sign-up and 10,000 characters with a free account. With credit or a subscription the plan limit no longer applies; technically up to 100,000 characters per message are possible. For very long texts it is worth checking in sections so the error list stays easy to read.

What is the difference between the two output options?

With "Corrected text + list" you also get a list of the corrections as text so you can follow what was changed. "Corrected text only" gives you just the clean version to copy. Keeping or discarding the changes is up to you; the list is not an editor.

What does the check cost?

That depends on text length and model; you are billed for the actual usage per reply. A starter allowance is available without sign-up, and with an account you can keep an eye on your credit.

Are my texts saved?

The text is sent to the selected AI model for checking; what the provider stores is governed by its terms. It stays in your history until you delete the chat; it is never made public.
