Text Remover: Delete Captions and Date Stamps from Images with AI
Chat shortcut: /removetext
Text remover with no brush and no masking: upload a photo, choose which text should go, check the result. The AI finds the text itself and fills in the background behind it from the surroundings.
No Sign-Up
Cost: 8,900 tokens per run · Input and result are automatically deleted 24 hours after upload.
Text gone, background filled in
A screenshot with a burned-in subtitle, a vacation photo with an orange date in the corner, a product image with an old price: the text is in the way, the picture behind it is good. That used to mean a clone stamp and patience. Now you choose which text should go, and the AI does the rest.
The tool recognizes text in the image, removes it and recomputes the area from the surroundings. You only decide whether all text, only subtitles and captions, or only date stamps should disappear; that is an instruction to the AI, which recomputes the whole image. Face, clothing, product and surroundings are meant to stay; compare the result with the original.
You need this for social reposts without the old caption, clean product and real estate photos, meme templates and old photos with a camera stamp. If an object rather than text is in the way, Remove Object from Photo with its brush is the better choice.
How it works
- 1
Upload an image
Drop or select a JPG, PNG or WebP up to 20 MB, one image per run.
- 2
Choose what should go
All text and labels, only subtitles and captions, or only date stamps.
- 3
Check and save
Start the run, compare the result with the original, download it or enlarge it with Image upscaler; every further run costs again.
Good to know
- Input: JPG, PNG or WebP up to 20 MB, 50 megapixels and 12,000 pixels per edge, one image per run; result with about 1 megapixel in the aspect ratio of the original.
- Three modes: all text, only subtitles and captions, only date stamps; no marking needed, the AI finds the text itself; individual pieces of text can remain.
- Best results with a calm background; with text over faces, skin or fine patterns, the fill is an estimate.
- Fixed token amount per run, shown before the start; refunded if the run fails technically. A further run or Image upscaler costs again each time.
- The image goes to the AI provider for editing; on our end, image and result are deleted 24 hours after upload (hourly cleanup). Only edit images you hold the rights to; not intended for watermarks. Shortcut in the chat: /removetext.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to mark the text?
No, the AI finds text in the image itself. If only a specific spot should go, or a piece of text remains, use Remove Object from Photo and paint over it there.
Which text can be removed?
Labels, overlaid subtitles, captions, date and time stamps from old cameras, price tags, and text on signs, packaging or graphics.
What does the spot look like afterwards?
The AI fills in the background from the surroundings. With sky, a wall or a flat area it is barely noticeable; with large text over faces, skin or fine patterns, the fill is an estimate and can differ from the original.
Can I remove watermarks?
The tool is not intended for that. Only remove text from images you hold the rights to or whose use is permitted to you.
Does the rest of the image stay the same?
The AI is instructed to leave everything else unchanged, but recomputes the whole image; small deviations are possible. The result has about 1 megapixel; for print or a shop, use Image upscaler afterwards (costs again).
Can I add new text afterwards?
Yes, with the image editing in the chat or, if the text only needs to go into another language, directly with Image Translator.
What does it cost, and what happens to my image?
A fixed token amount per run, shown above the tool; a technical error is refunded, while a result you do not like counts as a run. The image goes to the AI provider for editing (its terms apply there); on our end, image and result are deleted after 24 hours.
